2023 Faculty Research Projects

The core component of the SROP is an 8-week research project under the supervision of a University of Toronto faculty member who researches Psychology, Management, or Neuroscience. When the faculty members signed up for the Summer 2023 SROP, they submitted a short description of the SROP research project and a statement of why they wanted to be involved in the SROP. Here were all the research projects that were available to 2023 Canada SROP Students!

When you complete the student application for the Canada SROP 2024, you will be asked to rank the top 3 research projects that you would like to work on. This page lists all the available faculty research projects. Please note the SROP operated in a hybrid manner in Summer 2023. Some of the faculty projects required the student to be able to commute to one of our research sites in the Greater Toronto Area for the 8 weeks of the program. If students did not live within a commutable distance of UofT, then they participated remotely by ranking only projects that indicate they are “remote” or “either” or temporarily moved to Toronto for the 8 weeks of the program to participant in-person. The SROP 2024 will likely operate in the same manner. Please see our FAQ post that describes the hybrid approach in more detail.

The research projects from 2023 are provided below. Research projects for 2024 are subject to change slightly, but these examples provide a glimpse into the content and scope of potential research projects.
