Non-Canadians can apply to PREP, but we cannot offer admission for the full program to anyone other than Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents for payroll reasons.
However, we give international applicants access to the Application Building Program. The Application Building Program is a weekly activity released each Monday of the SROP that scaffolds the development of a PhD program application. Many students have told us these materials are very helpful.
To gain access to the Application Building Program as an international student, you still need to apply by the deadline of February 27, 2026. However, the application for international students is much shorter than the full application (e.g., no short essays, no letter of recommendation required)!
