Some faculty members have a preference for either in-person or remote collaboration, while other faculty members can accommodate either in-person or remote collaboration depending on the needs of the student. Faculty preferences are indicated on their research project page (between the project statement and the mentorship statement). Students should select the faculty members they wish to work with based on this information and what their own needs/preferences are.
Professional Development sessions and weekly student socials will remain virtual this year to include all SROP students. The program concludes with a virtual symposium where students present their research project. However, the bulk of the summer is focused on conducting research, so this is where in-person versus remote preferences are most important.
