Project Description

In our lab, we’ve become interested in understanding what predicts whether single people are happy with their lives or not. Our studies have shown factors like age, attachment security, and sexual satisfaction are important but we know that there are many others that have not yet been tested. For the SROP project, we would ask you to develop a question that you are interested in regarding well-being in singlehood using the data we have collected from our multiple past projects. We would then help you learn (if you don’t already know) how to analyze the data to test that question.

Does this project require the SROP Student to be in-person or remote? Either one

Mentorship Statement

The MacLab works as a team to mentor undergraduate students. Our goal is to provide structured autonomy where you get input into the goal of your project and support with the practical steps for how to accomplish that goal. We also run a summer reading group series so you can learn about the broader background behind this research area in addition to the details of your specific project.
